Momiji Lodge blends traditional mountain lodge architecture with contemporary luxuries and all the mod cons. The lovingly refurbished chalet retains an authentic feel, complete with the smell of cedar wood, but offers guests modern comforts that include electronically heated toilets, a large well-appointed kitchen, and an indulgent Japanese Onsen-style granite bath.

Two master bedrooms provide loft-style living, while a bunk room and queen-sized guest room are equally suited for adults or children. The well-equipped kitchen encourages self-catering, but with some of Hirafu’s best restaurants and bars just a stroll away (many are reached via heated pavements, so there is no need to worry about sliding on ice), you might be happy not to bother.

Ski lifts are about five to 10 minutes walk, and within three minutes walk are 10 of Hirafu’s best bars and restaurants, including Michelin-star Kamimura, the Barn, and Ezo Seafood. Those looking for more casual eats are just a hop, skip and jump away from Rin Japanese Restaurant and Niseko’s Yummy Pizza.

The chalet’s central location means a fabulous choice of restaurants, bars and boutiques are right on your doorstep, as well as easy access (20m walk) to the free shuttle bus service. If you don’t feel like walking or taking the bus, our on-call driver is available for short trips around Hirafu (winter only). Momiji Lodge is the perfect base for discovering the charms of Hokkaido in any season, with great options for sightseeing, hiking, cycling, and summer water sports in a stunning mountain landscape.

10 people (2 ensuite master bedrooms with split king-size beds, 1 guest room with split queen-size bed, 1 bunk room).
Spacious open-plan lounge, kitchen, and dining area. Dining table for 12, sofa seating area, four and a half bathrooms, high-wood beam ceilings, large windows, and skylights.
An on-call driver for Hirafu Village. Additional staff such as nanny/babysitter, and masseuse are available upon request at an extra charge.
Momiji Lodge is self-catering. A welcome pack of breakfast supplies is included. A private chef may be booked in advance for a unique in-house dining experience, or a decadent hamper can be ordered for delivery (extra charge). Please visit Niseko Gourmet for further information.

Momiji Lodge is an excellent choice for families with children. Fun-filled activities such as tea ceremony demonstrations, sushi-making lessons and traditional drumming lessons may be booked in advance.
The chalet includes an indoor Japanese onsen-style granite bath. If you wish to visit another onsen in the region, please refer to the onsen menu for options.
Momiji Lodge is located on Hirafu’s Momiji Street within walking distance of a wide selection of restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues. An on-call driver is available from 8 am to 6 pm, during the winter season, for local journeys to and from the Grand Hirafu Ski Gondola and locations within Hirafu village.
